Buckland's Parish Magazine was first published in 1926  - we are approaching our 100th year!

The Magazine is distributed to all 260 homes in Buckland, unless residents opt-out.  Subscriptions are requested each year, and a good proportion of households do respond and pay their subscription.   We also have good support from advertisers, where the copy-adverts are shared with Betchworth Parish Magazine.    Our only costs are printing.  The income from advertisers and subscriptions covers the print costs and generates a surplus of  £1000 to £1500 per annum to contribute to the operating costs of St Mary's Buckland. 

Readers will get good information, not only about church services, but about local shops, tradesmen and supplies, news about local clubs, societies and their events, and some interesting articles.  The magazine is mainly about Community, not Christianity, but we do slip in thought-pieces about religion and spirituality.   And of course - we introduce a little humour to keep you reading...


Making contributions

This is a Community Magazine, and your contributions of articles and text will be welcomed.   For example, village photographs, stories, memories of the past, or ideas for a series of articles, would all be welcomed.   Email the Editor. 


Buckland Parish Magazine Archive

We have a printed and bound archive of magazines from 1926, continuing to the present.  Over 95% of magazines are present in our archive. Since September 2019, our archive is also maintained digitally.  There is no Index to the Magazines, but if you have an enquiry that can be related to a particular year, you may request a search of specific information.  Email the Webmaster.
