Staff and Leadership

Please find below an introduction to our Reverend, Churchwardens and PCC members, who together form our Leadership Team.

We are small church: our Rector is paid only 1.5 days per week for Buckland Parish activities and understandably she is not always immediately available.  All other members of our team devote their time and resources on a voluntary basis.
 

Reverend Pru Dulley		David Sayce (Church Warden)
Pru joined the joint benefice of St Mary's Buckland & St Michael's Betchworth in September 2023.   She works 3.5 days per week for our parishes.		David is a Churchwarden, Captain of the Bells and PCC member. As Churchwarden, he focusses on the maintenance of the church and intercessions in our services.
Liz Vahey (Church Warden)		Caroline Gale (Safeguarding Officer)
Liz is a Churchwarden, focusing on our Service Schedule and content, and is a Server supporting the  Rector in Communion.		This is where you add a friendly biog of your staff members, so that people know who they are when they get in touch with the church.
Duncan Ferns (Parish Magazine, Churchyard duties, Choir)		Simon Thomas (Treasurer, Sidesman)
Duncan is editor of Buckland's monthly Parish Magazine, supports the Churchyard Gardening team and The Churchyard Fabric Fund.  He also sings tenor in our Church Choir serving Buckland and Betchworth.		SImon is Treasurer of the Church and of our fund-raising group, the Friends of St Mary's.   He is also a sidesman in many of our services.
Hannah Wilson (IONA Service co-ordinator, Music group)		Rosey Davy (PCC Secretary, IONA intercessions)
Hannah co-ordinates the Iona Services and accompanying Music Group, where she plays the flute and recorder.  She  previously ran the Sunday School.
Sarah Munro		Tom Brinscombe (Church Synod Representative)
